How To See Subscribers On Snapchat
Snapchat is finally offering users what they want – the ability to show others the number of followers you have. Prior to this, users were only able to see how many followers they had but weren't able to display them on their profile. That changes today as the social media app now allows creators to publicize how many subscribers they have.
For now, subscriber count will be visible when you search for Snap Star profiles (profiles marked with a black star inside a yellow circle). If the profile has enabled the option for public view, you will be able to view it under on their profile page under their name with an option to subscribe to them.
In this post, we'll explain why Snapchat add the subscriber count now, who can show it on their profile and how you can enable it on Snapchat.

Why is Snapchat adding subscriber count now?
Snapchat's decision to add a public subscriber count appears to be a move suggested by its creator community who, Snapchat says, were eager to have an option to tell their fanbase that their community is expanding. The move will help influencers and brands to promote themselves as they can avail sponsorship and partnership opportunities based on their audience.
Brands can now easily scan for which influencer accounts to approach for better advertising and negotiate better knowing how many subscribers the popular accounts have. Influencers, on the other hand, can get lucrative opportunities to expand their fan base via sponsored content and advertisements.
With a public subscriber count, influencers and media accounts stand a chance to gain more followers since it's psychologically established that people will more likely follow you based on the number of followers you have.
The same applies for businesses as well since more followers means your shop is trusted by many, thus giving potential followers a reason to buy from them. If a business has less followers or doesn't show its follower-base, then it'll give a potential follower an impression to not follow them.
Who can show their subscriber count on Snapchat?
The option to enable subscriber count is only available for individuals or businesses with a public profile on Snapchat. At the time, you need to have a Creator Profile which can be enabled if you are a Lens Creator or a public figure on Snapchat.
However public profiles are expected to be available for all users around the world in the coming months, thus letting anyone who wants it, show subscriber counts on their profile.
Besides their follower count, public profile users will also be able to add a description about themselves, email address, location, website, and more for others to see.
How to enable subscriber count on your Snapchat profile
